MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivant Medical, Inc. announced today that its VivaWave(TM) Microwave Ablation system will be showcased in two scientific papers as well as two education exhibits at the 90th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America Conference (RSNA), November 28 to December 3, 2004 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
The two education exhibits by Damian Dupuy, MD, Director of Minimally Invasive Therapy and Ultrasound at Rhode Island Hospital, are entitled Microwave Ablation: It’s Not Just for Popcorn Anymore and Microwave Ablation of Hepatic Neoplasms: Principles, Case Studies, and Lessons Learned and will be available for viewing throughout the conference in Hall D1 Lakeside Center.
Hayden Head, MD, University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, will give a presentation from 3:50-4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2004 titled: Microwave Ablation with a Multitined Expandable Antenna: In-Vivo Porcine Liver Model. David Lu, MD, UCLA Center for Health Sciences will present “Heat-Sink Effect” of Hepatic Veins on Microwave Coagulation: A Porcine Pilot Study from 11:30-11:40 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2004. Both presentations are scheduled to take place at the location E451B.
