BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Taratec, a leading life science consultancy that provides integrated business, information technology, and regulatory compliance services, announced today the appointment of Richard (“Rick”) Riegel as Vice President, Sales and Business Development.
Riegel has more than 19 years of management experience in executive, sales, marketing and practice leadership positions with technology and professional services firms focused on meeting the needs of companies in the pharmaceutical and life science industries.
Riegel comes to Taratec from IBM, where he served most recently as the Vice President of Solutions Marketing for IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences and previously as the General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Industry. Prior to joining IBM, Riegel spent eight years at First Consulting Group in a number of positions of increasing responsibility in sales and practice management, ultimately serving as the Managing Director of the company’s Life Sciences Division.
In these positions, Riegel has successfully built and led teams of more than 500 associates with responsibility for over $80 million in revenue, established new consulting practices in the United States and Europe, managed acquisitions, and created new business, marketing, and account plans that dramatically improved revenue and profitability.
