New Product Enhancements Combined Proximity and Biometric Strong Authentication
The combination of active proximity detection and fingerprint biometrics enables users to identify themselves with Ensure XyLoc(TM) proximity cards and verify their identity using Identix fingerprint biometrics. The result is strong authentication that provides users with fast and efficient access to healthcare applications with the highest levels of security, while simultaneously eliminating the need to use a keyboard or mouse in order to securely sign on.
RSA SecurID Authentication Technology
Sentillion's integration of RSA SecurID authentication technology with the Vergence product suite provides healthcare organizations with another increasingly popular means to identify and authenticate users of their systems. For example, users who possess a SecurID card will be able to authenticate themselves using the card before signing on to their applications via Vergence SignOn Manager. RSA SecurID systems are a leading solution for two-factor user authentication. The RSA SecurID product family offers a wide range of easy-to-use authenticators, including synchronous tokens and smart cards.
Roaming Sessions
Vergence support for roaming sessions enables users to securely log on to a workstation and sign on to applications, then lock their session, move to another workstation, and resume their session just as it was when they originally locked it. Users can, in effect, take their sessions with them as they move to different locations in the hospital during the course of the day. This functionality further supports the clinical workflow and ensures fast, efficient access to the complete patient record.
Sentillion's products are in use across North America including nationally recognized institutions such as, Lahey Clinic, Marshfield Clinic, Sharp HealthCare, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Fox Chase Cancer Institute, Cincinnati Children's Hospital & Medical Center and all Veterans' Affairs Medical Centers.
