Glasgow, Scotland 04 December 2014: Scottish Enterprise has today announced the shortlist of finalists for its 2015 Life Sciences Awards.
The Scottish Enterprise Life Sciences Awards 2015 recognise the achievements of individuals, companies and research organisations within the Scottish life sciences sector during the previous year.
The awards will be presented at the 15th annual Scottish Life Sciences Awards and Dinner at the International Conference Centre in Edinburgh on Thursday, 5 February 2015. The event attracts the leading players in Scotland’s dynamic life sciences sector: the policy makers, the investors, the academic leaders and the companies that are all building on Scotland’s outstanding life sciences legacy.
Julia Brown, director of Life Sciences and Chemicals at Scottish Enterprise, said: “I’d like to congratulate all the awards finalists. The awards recognise the leading organisations and people in the Scottish life sciences sector. I’m delighted that we had an increased number of entries this year and once again it was a challenge for the judges to select the finalists from a very strong field of nominations.
“This year the judges, who included GlobalScots and investors in the sector as well as key industry players from here in Scotland, focused on entries with an international outlook and evidence of innovative collaboration activity in selecting the finalists. We look forward to the 2015 Life Sciences Awards ceremony in February and to announcing the winners.”
