OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- PRL Central Laboratory Services (“PRL”) announced today that it has entered into a laboratory testing agreement with the Kansas Bioscience Organization (KansasBio) to establish a regional collaboration. Under the terms of the agreement, PRL will provide price incentives for safety and efficacy laboratory testing, toxicological testing, and employee health screening services to KansasBio and its member companies.
It typically takes close to ten years and nearly one billion dollars to test a new drug or device for commercial application. PRL plays a critical role in the process by testing the safety of the drug or device as it affects the patient during clinical trials. The data generated is a key component of a New Drug Application (NDA) which is submitted to the FDA for approval.
