SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- PPOM, the Midwest's largest independent preferred provider network, has announced several internal management promotions, effective October 1, to better position PPOM for long- term viability in an increasingly competitive market.
"The new management structure creates a collaborative relationship between our payor and providers' interests and positions PPOM for long-term growth," said Jeffrey L. Connolly, President and CEO. "Further, these changes will enable us to centralize and sharpen our focus on regional development and help us to make better decisions faster."
Christopher Crowley has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In addition to his current responsibilities for PPOM operations and administration, Crowley will assess operational enhancements for current and future companies owned by HMS Healthcare, Inc.
Steven Selinsky has been named Senior Vice President of Client Sales and Provider Services. Selinsky will retain current oversight of Michigan sales and service functions, while assuming oversight of all provider and hospital services network-wide, as well as Indiana and Ohio regional operations.
Tiffany Otis has been named Vice President of Corporate Sales and Provider Services. In addition to overseeing national carrier relations, and sales and client service activities for Southeast Michigan, Otis will also be responsible for all Southeast Michigan-based hospital and provider service functions. In a related move, Mike Andreshak has been named director of contracting and hospital services, and Jill Harris has been named director of provider services.
Kelley Monterusso has been named Vice President of Regional Operations. Her responsibilities will now include client sales and service, and network development for Greater Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Mark O'Neill has been named Vice President of Finance and Accounting. He will retain his current responsibilities for all financial analysis, accounting and purchasing, while adding oversight of PPOM's facility management.
Kelly Wright has been named Vice President of Operations. Wright will be responsible for all claims processing, customer service, new business implementation and ongoing business analysis and process improvement functions.
"We believe these promotions better position PPOM to address the changes and needs in our markets. Additionally, PPOM will be better positioned to take advantage of the strength and likely synergies that our new ownership structure affords us," said Connolly. HMS Healthcare, Inc., a newly formed holding company of Colorado-based KRG Capital Partners, LLC, purchased PPOM from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in July 2004. HMS Healthcare also owns Sloans Lake Preferred Health Networks in Denver. Over time, PPOM management will have more involvement with the companies that come together under the HMS umbrella.
What's more, added, Connolly, "this management team has many years of experience at PPOM, and detailed knowledge of our markets, services and client and partner needs. These individuals have proven themselves capable of additional responsibilities and I'm excited to continue our strong tradition of promoting from within the organization."
