(Covaris), together announced the signing of a Marketing and Distribution Agreement where NEXUS will exclusively distribute in North America and Asia the Covaris line of Adaptive Focused Acoustic (AFA) systems for use in the sample management, drug discovery, and protein crystallography fields. Based on technology developed for the medical diagnostics imaging and therapeutic ultrasound industries, AFA provides a non-invasive, fast and repeatable technique for resolubulizing challenging solutions. This high frequency technology overcomes the significant heat transfer, low speed, erratic performance and sample contact drawbacks of the low frequency sonication methodologies currently in use.
