ATLANTA, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NDCHealth Corporation , a leading provider of healthcare technology and information solutions, announced today that G. Scott MacKenzie has joined the company as executive vice president and general manager, pharmacy systems and services.
In his position, Mr. MacKenzie is responsible for overseeing all functional aspects of NDCHealth’s pharmacy systems and transaction services business unit, including operations, sales and product development.

Mr. MacKenzie, 41, joins NDCHealth with extensive executive-level experience in technology applications and new business development in the healthcare sector. Most recently he served for four years as vice president and general manager of providing care, a unit of Cerner Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for application development, packaging, sales, marketing and intellectual property creation for Cerner applications that interface with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and consumers. While at Cerner, he also held senior management positions in physician solutions and business development.
Prior to Cerner, Mr. MacKenzie held executive positions at AT&T Outsourcing Solutions, a unit of AT&T Solutions; commercial processing services, a unit of GE Capital Corp.; and several senior management positions at Electronic Data Systems Corp.
Mr. MacKenzie earned a master’s degree in business administration from University of Michigan, and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Utah State University.
