Minnesota Oncology Hematology, P.A. (MOHPA) Expands Clinical Staff

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Minnesota Oncology Hematology, P.A. (MOHPA) has expanded its Twin Cities patient-care team by adding a gynecologic oncologist and an oncology hematology specialist.

Dr. Matthew P. Boente, gynecologic oncologist, has joined the MOHPA location in Edina, beginning today. His addition brings its total staff to six physicians, including three oncology hematology specialists and two medical oncologists.

Boente most recently was medical director for the gynecologic oncology division of Methodist Hospital. Previously, he was director of the gynecologic oncology division of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. He has authored and collaborated on numerous peer-reviewed publications and has recently practiced at many local hospitals, including Fairview University Medical Center, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Regions Hospital and North Memorial Medical Center.

Dr. Margaret A. MacRae becomes the eighth member of the MOHPA staff at the Abbott Northwestern location on December 15, 2004.

An oncology hematology specialist, MacRae most recently served as a Mayo Clinic consultant in the oncology department at the Mayo Health System. She received her doctorate from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and completed her fellowship in oncology and hematology at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minn. She is a member of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
