ST. LOUIS, March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MDI Technologies (BULLETIN BOARD: MDTI) , a leading provider of clinical and accounting software and support to the long-term healthcare industry, today announced a significant contract win involving the sale of additional software modules to a client operating a chain of nursing homes in the Midwestern U.S.
“This chain of nursing homes has been a client with MDI Technologies for more than 8 years,” said Di Anne Kerrigan, Executive Vice President. “We have been partners in their growth as they have added facilities. We value their continued vote of confidence in our products and services.”
The most recent contract involves several of MDI staffing solutions. Specifically:
-- QuickAdmit - designed to streamline the admissions process by personalizing nursing home agreements and generating mandatory documents, while reducing transcription errors and duplication; -- Marketing - provides efficient collection and tracking of data on prospective residents, including referral reports, personalized letters and waiting list reports. Upon admission resident information is transferred directly into Medical Records and Accounts Receivable modules. -- Human Resource Center - designed to assist in the hiring and development of employees and fully integrated with the Payroll program. Features include employee summaries, benefits eligibility, education and training history and performance reviews. -- Schedule Pro - a comprehensive staff scheduling program that allows multiple supervisors to manage staff capacity throughout a facility over different shifts. It also assists operators in meeting government-mandated requirements regarding the ratio of nursing home residents to clinical staff.
Kerrigan added, “In the nursing home environment, the biggest expense by far relates to staffing. The increased functionality we offer continues to gain acceptance as a cost-effective solution for automating many tasks previously performed manually. The integration of data and improved tracking capabilities help to further reduce costs and help meet regulatory requirements, allowing our clients to focus more of their resources on delivering quality health care.”
