HOUSTON, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Ascendant Neuro is pleased to announce the addition ofKenneth Alo, M.D., an internationally recognized specialist who has joined to further the advancement of the group’s minimally invasive pain treatment techniques through the innovative use of neurostimulators. Dr. Alo will serve as Director of Neuromodulation and Clinical Research.
Dr. Alo graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine and completed his General Surgery Internship, Anesthesiology Residency, and Interventional Pain Fellowship at The Methodist Hospital, and Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in the Texas Medical Center. He is board certified and has been active in supporting the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Neuromodulation Society, the National Pain Foundation, the International Neuromodulation Society, The International Association for the Study of Pain, The American Pain Foundation, and the American Pain Society in various roles.
In addition to serving on the Editorial Board of “Neuromodulation Journal of Technology at the Neural Interface,” Dr. Alo’s research has been published in “The Journal Neurosurgery,” “Proceedings of the International Neuromodulation Society,” “The International Journal the Pain Clinic,” “Neuromodulation Journal of Technology at the Neural Interface,” “Neurocontact,” “The Journal Headache and Facial Pain,” and “Pain Practice,” among others. On behalf of physicians and patients in the United States and abroad, Dr. Alo is regularly asked to lecture and demonstrate the latest diagnostic and therapeutic practices. Dr. Alo has conducted or participated in programs including workshops, clinical trials, presentations and meetings, as well as visiting professorships (University of Basel, University of Vienna and the University of Pisa) since beginning practice in 1994. He remains active as the Director of the Section of Neuro-Cardiology at the Institute of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Monterrey Technical University, and is participating in clinical research at the Methodist Hospital Research Institute in the Texas Medical Center.
