PITTSBURGH, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Jerry Dioguardi has accepted the position of vice president, Provider Affairs, for HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance's western Pa. region. In this role, Mr. Dioguardi will be responsible for directing the Provider Affairs department as well as overseeing the continued development of HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance's physician network. He will also manage provider contracting and network operations for northwestern Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
Prior to joining HealthAmerica, Mr. Dioguardi worked as vice president of Field Contracting for CIGNA HealthCare of Virginia and vice president of Delivery Systems Management for United Healthcare of Virginia. He has also worked with NYLCare Health Plans, based in Wayne, Pa. Mr. Dioguardi received his bachelor's degree from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, N.J., and his master's degree from Rosemont College in Villanova, Pa.
