CHICAGO, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- IPC -- The Hospitalist Company announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Health Options of Illinois, Inc., to provide hospitalist services to its members who are hospitalized at VISTA Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. Health Options of Illinois, Inc., is a community-based IPA (Independent Physicians Association) that has been serving residents of Lake County for the past ten years.
In addition to the Health Options of Illinois, Inc., agreement, VISTA Health entered into an agreement with IPC earlier this year through which IPC physicians began seeing patients at both Victory Hospital as well as at nearby Saint Therese Medical Center. Currently, nearly 33 IPC physicians attend to approximately 300 patients daily at 16 hospitals throughout Chicago and its surrounding communities.
Hospitalists are acute-care specialists who focus on a patient’s hospital care from time of admission to discharge.
