HCA Appoints A. Bruce Moore, Jr. Chief Operating Officer Of Outpatient Services

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HCA today announced the addition of one more seasoned leader to its newest operations group with the appointment of A. Bruce Moore, Jr. as Chief Operating Officer, Outpatient Services, effectively immediately.

In his new position, Moore is responsible for daily operations of HCA’s Outpatient Services. The group was created in January 2003 to bring a new, stronger focus to non-hospital based outpatient services, and to leverage the vast growth opportunities for this business in HCA’s existing market areas. Today’s announcement is a further indication of HCA’s commitment to bring strong leadership and abundant resources to ensure the success of HCA’s outpatient strategy. Moore will report to Outpatient Services Group President, Marilyn Tavenner.

Moore, 44, joined HCA as a staff auditor in 1982. He served the company in a variety of roles, including Vice President of Compensation and Vice President of Benefits, before assuming the position of Vice President, Operations Administration in 1997. He was made Senior Vice President, Operations Administration in 1999.

He is a member of the HCA Foundation, Ensworth School Board of Directors and the Martha O’Bryan Center.

A native of Laurel, Miss., Moore received a bachelor’s degree in finance from The University of Mississippi. He resides in Nashville with his wife Karen and their three children.
