The awards are being given to partners at only 20 law firms from among the top 500 law firms eligible. Stephen J. The Burton Awards, now in their fifth year, were established by William C. Burton to promote and reward the refinement and enrichment of good legal writing. Winners are chosen by an academic committee consisting of educators from the law schools of Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan, as well as leading members of the legal profession.
The 2004 Burton Awards program will be presented in association with the Law Library of Congress on June 14, 2004, in the Library of Congress, in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Weiswasser’s practice includes representing companies in the life sciences industry on a full-spectrum of intellectual property and related issues, as well as advising venture and private equity funds investing in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and other life science technologies. She is resident in Weil Gotshal’s Washington, D.C., office.
