CIGNA HealthCare Launches Online Provider Claim Submission And Tracking Solution; Teams With Post-N-Track To Offer Health Providers Faster, Simpler Transaction Exchange

BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Sept. 14, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CIGNA HealthCare announced today that it has teamed with Post-N-Track Corporation to deliver faster claims submission and tracking for health care providers, billing entities and transaction aggregators. The new service is available through a direct, universal, secure Web-based transaction solution that administers, monitors, and controls these transactions.

The new direct service is offered at no cost to CIGNA HealthCare providers and other business partners, who currently submit more than 70 million electronic claims annually. Post-N-Track is managing the program, including enrollment, software distribution and customer support. The HIPAA-compliant program allows health care providers and other business partners to submit or "post" their claims to CIGNA directly and securely over the Internet and receive or "track" processing results, such as receipt confirmations, acknowledgments, claims status and remittance notices without an intermediary.
