The company has added J. Kevin Bice as senior vice president of pharmacy and Danny Nelms as vice president of human resources. Both will be based in CHD Meridian Healthcare's Nashville office.

J. Kevin Bice
In his role as CHD Meridian Healthcare's senior vice president of pharmacy, Mr. Bice is responsible for the company's pharmacy operations, which range from full-service on-site pharmacies to the pharmacy concierge service. Mr. Bice will also provide the strategic direction of the CHD Meridian Healthcare's pharmacy business, focused on continually building the company's service offerings and providing better quality health care at a lower cost.
Prior to joining CHD Meridian, Mr. Bice was the regional manager of the Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Pharmacy Division, where he supervised operating units in Florida and Puerto Rico and managed more than $1 billion in annual sales. He oversaw the region's professional services, over-the-counter merchandising and strategic planning for future pharmacy expansion in Puerto Rico. In addition, he served as a pharmacy liaison to the Wal-Mart International Division to promote pharmacy growth in Mexico, Central and South Americas. Mr. Bice also held other regional manager and district team leader positions with Wal-Mart from 1999-2004. Before Wal-Mart, Mr. Bice worked for CVS, Inc. as a pharmacist. Mr. Bice received his B.S. degree in pharmacy from the Auburn University School of Pharmacy.
Danny Nelms
As the vice president of human resources for CHD Meridian Healthcare, Mr. Nelms will manage all human resource functions for the company's more than 1,700 employees.
A 15-year veteran in human resources, Mr. Nelms has worked in a variety of industries including public accounting, marketing and manufacturing with extensive experience in managing the effects of mergers, acquisitions and consolidations. Before joining CHD Meridian Healthcare, Mr. Nelms was vice president of human resources for Murray, Inc., a $500 million manufacturing company with more than 1,400 employees. Prior to Murray, Mr. Nelms held human resources positions at Progeny Marketing Innovations, Service Experts, Inc., Robert Half International, Renaissance Hotels International and Arthur Anderson.
Mr. Nelms earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga. and his M.B.A. from The Massey School at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. He is active in the industry as well as his community, serving on the Board of the Middle Tennessee Society of Human Resources and The Medius Circle, a young leader's initiative of the United Way of Williamson County.
