TORONTO, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cedara Software, a Merge Healthcare company and a leading independent developer of medical software technologies for the global healthcare market, today announced the release of the MergeCOM-3(TM) Advanced Integrator's Native Java Tool Kit Version 3.0. The MergeCOM-3 DICOM Tool Kit has an OEM customer base with more than 150 commercial MergeCOM-3(TM) licensees, who utilize this product in the development of medical imaging software that requires DICOM conformance. The construction of the Tool Kit in Native Java provides an alternative for developers who need the functionality of the MergeCOM-3(TM) Tool Kit, but prefer to utilize Java language. It is also platform-independent, so software developed using the Native Java Tool Kit can be utilized in LINUX(R), Solaris(R) or Windows(R) operating systems.
