LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tempur-Pedic International Inc. announced today the appointment of Paul Coulis as President of its Tempur-Pedic Medical, Inc. subsidiary. Mr. Coulis, who will be based in the company's Kentucky headquarters, will lead Tempur-Pedic Medical's initiatives to expand distribution and grow sales of the company's proprietary, pressure-relieving products in the U.S. healthcare market.

Most recently, Mr. Coulis served as Vice President of International for Hill-Rom Company, a division of Hillenbrand Industries. Under his 12-year leadership, the organization's international market revenues and profits increased substantially. Prior to that, Mr. Coulis founded Woodland Capital Company, a medical supply company, which he guided through a successful initial public offering less than five years later.
Mr. Coulis began his career in 1973 with American Hospital Supply Corporation as a sales representative for the technical equipment division, progressing through various positions until being named Vice President of Marketing for a newly acquired division. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and linguistics from Indiana University and is currently a member of the external advisory board of directors for the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, International MBA Academy.
