AAR Landing Gear Regains Certificate

Aviation Week -- AAR Landing Gear Services on Friday, Feb. 20, got back its repair station certificate 10 days after FAA suspended the certificate on an emergency basis for improper plating, inspection and testing of gear and components. By failing to follow procedures laid in aircraft manufacturer maintenance manuals, FAA argued that AAR was returning landing gear to service as overhauled when there were not, which is a violation of Federal Aviation Regulations.
