Wyeth Can Remain Independent, Eyes Takeovers

U.S. pharmaceutical group Wyeth (WYE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) is big enough to survive further consolidation in the pharmaceutical sector and is looking out for acquisitions, the firm’s top executive told a newspaper published on Saturday.
