Idsk -- Cirrhosis patients have an increased risk of venous thromboembolism up to age 45 years, after which the liver disease is actually associated with a decreased risk of thromboembolism, compared with controls, a study published in the September issue of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology has shown.
