Women have faster regression of ventricular hypertrophy after aortic valve replacement than men, researchers found. Before the operation, women were more likely to have left ventricular hypertrophy than men (86% versus 56%, P<0.01), according to Vera Regitz-Zagrosek, MD, of the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and colleagues.
