PARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2006--The Medicines Company (NASDAQ: MDCO) today announced that Glenn Sblendorio has joined the Company as an Executive Vice President and will become Chief Financial Officer effective March 17. Sblendorio replaces Steve Koehler, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer who, after a very successful four years with the Company, has resigned effective March 17, to take a position with a large pharmaceutical company.
