Testosterone Can Improve Women’s Sex Drive, Mount Sinai Hospital Study

Testosterone therapy is safe for women experiencing waning sexual desire, Canadian researchers are reporting in the latest study into whether female sexual arousal can be packaged in a pill or patch. Reporting in this month’s issue of the Journal of Obstetrics and Gyne-cology of Canada, Toronto researchers conclude that the medical evidence supports the safety of short-term testosterone therapy for post-menopausal women with “hypoactive sexual desire disorder,” or HSDD.
