(TSX:SBS), a biotechnology company developing a broad pipeline of protein-based pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceutical products, today announced it has filed a preliminary short form prospectus in the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Québec (the “Qualifying Provinces”) qualifying the distribution (the “Primary Offering”) of common shares of the Company. In the event that the gross proceeds of the Primary Offering exceed approximately $20 million, then certain existing shareholders may sell common shares of the Company under a secondary offering (together with the Primary Offering, the “Offerings”).
