Doctor's Guide -- NEW YORK -- November 3, 2010 -- Children with paediatric bipolar disorder may benefit more from the antipsychotic medication risperidone than from divalproex, a mood stabiliser, if they have comorbid disruptive behaviour disorders, such as conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, according to research presented here on October 30 at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
