Idsk -- Introducing the heptavalent pneumococcal conjugant vaccine into routine infant immunization programs appears to raise the rate of nasopharyngeal acquisition of pneumococcal serotype 19A strains in the first 2 years of life, according to a report in the Sept. 8 issue of JAMA.
