Patheon Inc. (TSX: PTI) today announced that its
external counsel has received a letter from Staff of the Ontario Securities
Commission ("OSC"), dated December 20, 2005, stating that after reviewing the
evidence in relation to certain trading in shares of Patheon Inc. by the Chief
Executive Officer and the President and Chief Operating Officer, OSC Staff has
decided to close its investigation into the matter.
