Opioid-Addicted Children Experience Greater Freedom From Relapse on Relapse-Prevention Medication: Presented at AACAP

Doctor’s Guide -- NEW YORK -- November 1, 2010 -- Children recovering from addiction to heroin and prescription opioids have a greater chance of avoiding relapse when they use relapse-prevention medications, such as buprenorphine and naltrexone, according to a research presented at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
