EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 17, 2006) - Nexia Biotechnologies Inc. ("Nexia") (NEX:NXB.H) announces that the special resolutions of shareholders of Nexia and Enseco Energy Services Corp. ("Enseco") to approve the Plan of Arrangement (the "Arrangement") among Nexia, Enseco, Enseco Management Corp. and 6539718 Canada Inc. ("New Nexia") were passed with the overwhelming support of Nexia and Enseco shareholders at their respective meetings held on October 16, 2006. Following the meetings, the Arrangement also received the approval of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta. It is expected that the transactions contemplated by the Arrangement will be completed on or before October 26, 2006.
