FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective immediately, a new contract was awarded to Zassi Medical Evolutions to provide AmeriNet members with an innovative bowel management catheter system unlike any other contracted product in the AmeriNet portfolio.
AmeriNet's clinical committee decided to award this new contract to offer members an additional product choice with the Zassi BMS device. After a comprehensive product evaluation, the committee determined that the Zassi BMS effectively helps care givers safely divert fecal waste for bedridden patients and improve patient outcomes through reduced incidence of nosocomial infections.
In addition, the agreement offers AmeriNet hospitals and alternate site facilities the opportunity to reduce costly clinical complications due to hospital acquired infections, as well as reducing product acquisition costs.
