Minnesota-based Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) celebrated the opening of a new manufacturing facility in China where the company will focus most of its hemodialysis system manufacturing.
The medtech titan got into the hemodialysis business last year through a partnership with India healthcare provider Apollo Hospitals Enterprise. The company said at the time that it would invest $25 million into research and development efforts with plans to launch a complete system in 2016.
