TCTMD -- Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) via the transapical route can result in low early mortality even in very high-risk patients once operators master the learning curve for this complex technique, according to findings published in the August 31, 2010, issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
