The beginning of July is when many companies increase the price on prescription medications in the U.S. This year’s price increases are higher than the same period last year.
According to a report, GSK has bundled the products into three separate packets in order to attract regional buyers.
The Laboratory for Genomics Research will be funded by GSK up to $67 million over the five-year period and will include space for 24 full-time university employees and up to 14 full-time GSK staffers.
A Phase III trial compared Sanofi’s Soliqua/Suliqua to other GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RA), with Soliqua showing a superior decrease of average blood sugar level (HbA1c) after 26 weeks.
In its announcement, GSK said the decision to cut the two programs were made following an analysis of available research results, including interim data from an ongoing Phase I study of the flu vaccine.
The NDA was based on positive Phase III data that shows the once-a-month treatment is as effective as the daily standard of care.
The funding will be used to expand the production capacity of key components of the adjuvant system used in several of GSK’s vaccines, including shingles vaccine, Shingrix.
Cambridge, Mass.-based Fulcrum Therapeutics just acquired a worldwide license with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to develop and commercialize losmapimod.
The survey showed that not surprisingly, patients by and large have negative views of the pharma industry when it comes to corporate responsibility and pricing -- mostly pricing.
