BIOTECanada has announced the winners of this year's National Biotechnology Awards to be presented May 28 at MaRS (Medical and related Sciences Centre) in Toronto as part of the National Presidents' Awards Celebration. Chemaphor Inc., a biotechnology research and development company founded as a National Research Council (NRC) start-up in Ottawa and now one of the Prince Edward Island Bioscience Cluster's newest companies has been honored as one of the recipients of the National Biotechnology Awards. Chemaphor is one of two companies that will receive an award as one of Canada's best in the category of Promising Early Stage Company. BIOTECanada annually recognizes early stage (no commercialized product) biotech companies in Canada that are poised to take off and have distinguished themselves from their peers with demonstrated leadership and significant achievement.
