A new study conducted at The Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) and the University of Toronto has confirmed that cancer stem cells are the real culprits behind childhood and adult brain tumors as they fuel and maintain the tumor growth. The research conducted on a mouse model and reported in The Nature has opened the door for new therapeutic targets for the treatment of brain tumours.
