New ZeOmega® Client Streamlines Behavioral Health Initiatives Using a Tightly Integrated, Scalable Platform

PLANO, Texas, July 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Behavioral Health Network Inc. (BHN) of Massachusetts recently went live with Jiva 6.1, the industry-leading, end-to-end population health management (PHM) platform from ZeOmega®.

Providing care management services to the people of Western Massachusetts since late 2013, BHN is continuously growing with the help of their successful relationships with Managed Care Organizations and the Massachusetts’ Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS). Because of this significant growth, BHN required a platform that would drive workflow efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve overall health outcomes. After intensive research, they selected Jiva 6.1 as the ideal platform to help achieve these goals and are now utilizing the robust solutions throughout the organization.

Jiva 6.1 is integrated with eight accountable care organization (ACO) partners contracted by MassHealth to manage the total cost of care in the catchment area of BHN, a capability that is vital as the organization enters a new space in the Massachusetts healthcare marketplace. In this new space, MassHealth--a combined program of Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)--looks to ACOs to manage Medicaid costs. To assist in this endeavor, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is leveraging the system of community behavioral health agencies it has developed over the years.

“Integration with our eight ACO partners is crucial to the success of this new commitment,” says Kathy Wilson, President and CEO of BHN. “We expect that success will depend on being able to share data across disparate systems. Jiva supports the continuous exchange we need between electronic health records. Through the platform’s innovative integration, we can now consume data for analysis, evaluation, and continuous improvement of outcomes. Jiva allows us to meet the needs of the members we serve and to demonstrate our value to our ACO partners.”

Using the seamless and comprehensive solutions within Jiva, BHN can now consider the whole health of a person instead of piecing together fragmented information from siloed care entities. On one platform, all aspects of a person’s treatment will be managed: physical, behavioral, cultural, and social needs. Jiva brings the necessary 360-degree approach to care, providing end-to-end support for BHN workers across the care continuum.

“We are honored to be helping BHN in their mission to enhance the inherent strength and dignity of their community members,” says Sam Rangaswamy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer for ZeOmega. “Jiva is helping the BHN team create tailored care plans--assisting in the improvement of each member’s quality of life--by providing the communication, engagement, and leveraging of crucial clinical content needed to truly break down behavioral health barriers.”
