There were two biotech IPOs this week: Barrier Therapeutics (BTRX), a dermatology company with eight products in the pipeline, and Cytokinetics Inc. (CYTK), with two drug candidates for cancer. Both priced higher than we have seen in two months, with Barrier going out at $15.00 and Cytokinetics at a little lower at $13.00, despite increasing its offering from 5.8MM to 6.9MM shares. At close on Friday, Barrier had drifted down slightly to 14.00 while Cytokinetics ended up at 16.26, making it the stronger offering of the two, which may be a response to their respective market focus.
