COLTON, Calif., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Stater Bros. Markets is pleased to announce that its customers and employees have raised $240,674 to benefit the American Heart Association. During the month of May 2005, when we also honor all mothers, Stater Bros. partnered with the American Heart Association in a fund raising campaign to draw attention to the high number of women affected by heart disease. All 161 Stater Bros. Supermarkets participated in the "Taking Steps against Heart Disease and Stroke" campaign to raise money for the American Heart Association.

Supermarket located at 1045 South Bloomington Avenue in Bloomington, California. The Bloomington Stater Bros. Supermarket collected the most money in this fund raising drive.
