BOCA RATON, Fla., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- RN Network, one of the leading travel nurse staffing companies in the United States, announced today it has received certification from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) under its Health Care Staffing Services Certification Program. Joint Commission certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality reflecting an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.
“We are thrilled to receive this certification,” said Donna Ramey, RN, BSN, MSN, director of nursing for RN Network. “This is a critical step in demonstrating our commitment to offering the highest level of quality and service to both our nurses and healthcare facilities. When a healthcare professional or organization is looking for a staffing company they can trust, this certification will aid them in that search.”
The Health Care Staffing Certification Program was recently formed and has been met with enthusiasm by more than 100 healthcare staffing companies that have applied for certification. This process is now an essential piece to the puzzle of delivering a quality service to the healthcare industry and, in turn, to the general public.
The certification process allows healthcare staffing companies the opportunity to review all areas of their organization. Key areas of focus include leadership, human resources management, performance measurement and improvement, and information management. Certification will be denied until all areas not adhering to JCAHO’s national standards are brought into compliance.
“Health care organizations that contract with RN Network can look to this certification as an assurance that it demonstrates a commitment to providing and continuously improving quality services,” says Michele Sacco, executive director, Health Care Staffing Services Certification, Joint Commission.
“The process is rigorous and detailed,” said Ramey. “The companies that are serious about upholding the highest standards will complete the process. This sends a strong message that the company meets or exceeds the highest possible standards validated by the Joint Commission. In a time when quality care is a growing concern, this shows our dedication to deliver on our promises of quality.”
