NEWARK, N.J., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at 2 p.m., the New Jersey Stem Cell Research & Education Foundation, Inc. (NJSCREF) will make a major national announcement of the launch of a collaborative “Bench to Bedside” strategic stem cell partnership with major players in the field of medicine, genomics, engineering, technology and finance to advance stem cell research in New Jersey.
A press conference will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Student Atrium (next to visitors/guest parking.) The press conference will be hosted by Dr. Michael LaSalle, NJSCREF President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Gary Friedman, NJSCREF Founding Trustee and Chief Science Officer and Assemblyman Neil Cohen, NJSCREF Founding Trustee and sponsor of the NJ Stem Cell Research Law, and the other leaders forming the “Bench to Bedside” strategic partnership on stem cell research in NJ.
NJSCREF was created in February 2004 as a nonprofit vehicle to promote New Jersey-based stem cell research and education and the rapid “bench to bedside” development and delivery of stem cell therapies.
The scheduled press conference will announce major partnerships with the Foundation and the associated research commencing in New Jersey.
