CAMPBELL, Calif., April 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kalila Medical, a privately held medical device company focused on the development of next-generation steerable catheter technologies, today announced the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 8,323,241 by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), titled “Steerable Medical Delivery Devices and Methods of Use”. The company’s proprietary technology encompasses a novel catheter tip deflection system that offers the superior precision and control required for increasingly complex electrophysiology and endovascular procedures. Kalila is the exclusive licensee of the patent, which has been issued to its affiliate Shifamed, LLC.
