Grady Health System Awards Medicare Billing Contract To Accordis

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Accordis , a leading business office outsourcing company serving hospitals and ambulance transport providers, today announced that The Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority d/b/a Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia has awarded a Medicare billing contract to Accordis following a competitive procurement process.

According to Cheryl Hayes, Executive Director of Patient Financial Services at Grady Health System, “With three decades of experience in government billing and collections, and expertise in our system, Accordis offers Grady the specialized resources required to liquidate these accounts. In particular, Grady will benefit from Accordis’s unique technology for analyzing account data, validating third party coverage, and reprocessing claims that are stalled or denied.”

In 2003 Accordis was also selected by Grady Health System to provide Medicare Bad Debt Claiming and Disproportionate Share Claiming services. As part of the new Medicare contract, Accordis will provide Grady with Medicare Bad Debt listings to ensure that all coinsurance and deductible amounts eligible for reimbursement are included in Grady’s Medicare Cost Report.
