Einar Sissener Retires From Alpharma Inc.'s Board Of Directors

FORT LEE, N.J., July 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alpharma Inc. announced today that Einar W. Sissener has retired from the company's Board of Directors effective June 29, 2006 following over thirty years of service. Mr. Sissener served as Chairman of Alpharma's Board of Directors since the company was founded in 1975 until April 2006, and was Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 2000.
