MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 2005--CRITICARE SYSTEMS, INC. (AMEX:CMD). Criticare Systems today announced it has received and booked a single purchase order for $7.7MM driving the current backlog over $9MM. This becomes the largest order in the history of the company and is meant to cover shipments of the new MR product line for the first half of Criticare’s fiscal 2006. It reflects a growing clinical acceptance of the line being marketed by our newest OEM partner. This is entirely incremental to the company’s oral surgery, international and other OEM sales. Based on future expectations of this line, the company is exploring expanding its manufacturing base. In other events, Criticare has recently submitted a file to the FDA for approval to market an advanced transport monitoring system. The product line encompasses many new and unique features and will be marketed as both a branded and an OEM product. Market introduction is targeted for July 2005.
