Companion Technologies Integrates Electronic Document Management With Companion PM

COLUMBIA, S.C., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Companion Technologies’ medical practice management software customers can now integrate documents into their Companion PM systems using PaperClip32 software, which will enable them to go paperless.

Companion Technologies signed an agreement with PaperClip Software Inc., the developer of PaperClip32, to sell the product as an add-on to Companion PM. The application organizes any combination of scanned images, documents, faxes, e-mail, X-rays, audio transcription notes, video clips, software files and more in the same electronic folder.

“Physician practices of any size can use PaperClip with their Companion PM systems to make needed information instantly and simultaneously accessible in a HIPAA compliant environment by authorized staff members,” said Craig Klein, Companion Technologies vice president in charge of the Companion PM product line.

“Whatever you can store on paper can be stored by PaperClip electronically,” said Mike Bridges, president of PaperClip Software. “For Companion PM customers, the integration of PaperClip will be seamless and will further aid in reducing costs and maximizing productivity.”

Companion Technologies will demonstrate Companion PM as well as its electronic medical records product, Companion EMR, at the American Academy of Family Physicians’ Annual Scientific Assembly, Oct. 13-17, in Orlando, Fla., as well as at the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) annual meeting Oct. 3-6 in San Francisco, and the National Association of Community Health Centers annual meeting Sept. 19-21 in San Francisco.
