CHICAGO, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF) has expanded its contract with Subimo, LLC, the leading provider of healthcare decision support tools for consumers to include the launch of the first-to-market Spanish version of Subimo's Hospital Advisor(TM). BCBSF has incorporated the Spanish version of the Hospital Advisor tool as a critical component of its newly enhanced Web site.
"We have re-designed our Web site with a stronger customer friendly focus, offering faster, more intuitive access to expanded options for site visitors," explains William Kerr, Vice President, Care Management, of BCBSFL. "Among the more than 6 million lives covered by BCBSF, an increasing percentage of our members speak Spanish as their primary language. The Spanish version of Hospital Advisor will provide this community with access to comparative hospital information, available in their native language, and encourage these Spanish-speaking members to become more active participants in their own healthcare."
The Hospital Advisor is a fast and easy way for consumers to get the information they need to make informed decisions on their choice of hospitals. BCBSF members can use the Hospital Advisor to research information about area hospitals in a Spanish language format that is easy to use and understand. The Hospital Advisor provides access to critical information on the availability of maternity services, cardiac procedures and intensive care units, patient safety measures, outcomes, complications and the total number of beds in area hospitals.
