Access Communications Inc. Hires 12 Executives For La Jolla Operations

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Communications Inc. today announces the addition of 12 seasoned healthcare marketing and communications executives to its La Jolla, California, office. The Agency's continued growth solidifies its place as a key player and industry leader providing strategic marketing to its growing roster of top pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on the West Coast.

Sonya Poarch joins Access Communications Inc. as Vice President of Client Services and brings more than 13 years of marketing and sales experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Access, Ms. Poarch served as Director of Marketing for Xcel Pharmaceuticals. In this role, she was responsible for managing the brand positioning for neurological products to include Diastat(R), Migranal(R), and Mysoline(R). Prior to that, Ms. Poarch worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company as Product Manager developing medical education and brand planning for the Core Dermatology Product Team, where she achieved a number of awards and product milestones. Before her role at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Ms. Poarch held various field sales positions at CPI Pharmaceuticals and Abbott Laboratories. She holds a Bachelor's of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley.

As Director of Client Services in La Jolla, Natalie Barrad joins Access Communications Inc. with more than nine years experience in healthcare marketing. Most recently, Ms. Barrad served as Account Group Supervisor for 1Health Communications in Irvine, California, responsible for the development of advertising and marketing campaigns for clients such as Amylin Pharmaceuticals, ISTA Pharmaceuticals, and United Healthcare Managed Care Plan. Ms. Barrad has held account management positions with Ignite Health, Foote Cone & Belding, Esprit Communications, and Video Pioneers Corporation. She graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a Bachelor's degree in Radio/TV/Film.
