MemorialCare Medical Centers Release: CEOS Launch Coalition To Reduce Health Costs

Major Health System and Prominent Employers Meet Tomorrow, Nov. 16 at Angel

Stadium, 7:30 a.m. What: The CEO of one of California's largest hospital systems and the president of a major California sports teams will discuss health care costs with CEOs of Southern California businesses. Barry Arbuckle, PhD, President and CEO of MemorialCare Medical Centers, is developing a coalition that will address the cost and quality of health care in Southern California. He is working with major employers to form this coalition. It launches tomorrow, Nov. 16. MemorialCare is a five-hospital system in Orange County and Long Beach with more than 10,000 employees and 3,500 physicians. Joining Dr. Arbuckle is Dennis Kuhl, President of Angels Baseball. Kuhl, who came to Angels Baseball with new owner Arte Moreno, will also discuss how the state of health care in California has affected his organization.
